I dropped the note on top of the books, and left the shop. The door was open, and I just started down the street. My coat was left inside, and draped over the counter. My phone was left playing the song on repeat. The air was still cold. I wasn't far from the pier here. It would be quiet right about now. I still could get Emmett's jeep, and go to the cliffs. It would take me about an hour or more to drive there. I didn't feel as though I had the time to do what had to be done.

My name is J Black. A little bit about me, hmm...well I'm your average human being. I'm a New England born writer. I think it's something in the air that inspired me. Writing has always been in my blood. I usually stayed with poetry, journaling, and a few ghost stories as a kid. I've always been an avid reader. I always let my imagination run wild. I was the kid in the back seat of the car with my nose buried in a book when school vacations came along. So my first true story I wrote was, The Stories of Leah Clearwater. I fell in love with her character when I read the Twilight saga. She was so misunderstood. I wanted Leah to have her voice. Well I sat down and expected to just give her a happy life. Imprint and that would be it. Originally it was only 20 pages. Something I would put away on a shelf. I'd pull it out and read it from time to time. Well that didn't happen. I've learned Leah and I have a lot more in common than I ever knew. I've also been asked if I'm Stephanie Meyer in disguise. I assure you I'm not. I do have two more Leah books in the works. Libby is beaten to a date with him by the pushy patronizing friend who always leaves her in the shade. She finds herself seduced by him, however, behind Sasha’s back, and while resisting his advances, embarks on a scheme to tease him, showing him what he turned down without actually giving in to him. The plan backfires at a Halloween costume party however when she encounters a naked Jared in one of the house’s bedrooms. Almost caught in this compromising position by Sasha, she hides and watches from a closet as he fucks her friend, becoming progressively more aroused. She has come out of a dull and disastrous marriage and is tempted by him, recalling how she come close to abandoning her professionalism with him when he was only eighteen. They flirt and, unable to resist, she accompanies him to his apartment. He seduces her to the point of submission, then stops, insisting that he will only have sex with her if she returns another night in her teacher guise, so they can enact the teacher/student fantasy which remained unfulfilled years before. She fights the urge, but ultimately gives up all her scruples regarding sex with ex-students and returns to him for a fiercely erotic and bdsm-tinged encounter. In the aftermath a fondness is established between them and she advises him to pursue something meaningful with Vanessa from the first story, with whom he has stayed in touch. The encounter with Jared ultimately shakes her out of her work-obsessed lifestyle and sets her on the road to rebuilding her life.
