GAVIN is the very first book I've read by author Russell but let me say that I am now a fan. This story was amazing. My attention was grabbed when I saw the synopsis post in a book group. With the story being based in my hometown of Chicago, I felt that I needed to read this book. I reached out and was kindly gifted an ARC by the author himself.
WOW!!
When I started reading, I was in complete shock. The amount of detail that went into each scene was fantastic. The scenary of the city, neighborhoods, the people and the emotions were perfect. It all worked well together. Russell walked you through with ease. Everything written you could definitely imagine.
What can I say about Dectective Gavin Nolan? A man who takes pride in his work within the CPD (Chicago Police Department). A man who never gives up. A family man with a past that isn't perfect but he keeps going. He has secrets no one would ever imagine but they eventually come to light and he must deal with it all. His character was strong but most of all real.
GAVIN is an outstanding thriller and suspenseful story. So many twists and turns that will blow your mind. I was loving it all. There were tons of gasps and omg moments but all so worth it. I have so much more to share but I do not want to spoil it for anyone. No spoilers from me.
If you like reading , thrillers, suspense, mystery, and about a hot Detective, witb great characters flow and storyline then I highly recommend GAVIN. Once you start, you won't want to stop.
I look forward to reading more by author Russell. I just know that the next books in The Gavin Nolan Series will be phenomenal. I can't wait for their releases.
